Closed areas: Fire trails closed

The following fire trails are closed until further notice due to damage from recent wet weather:

  • Duck Creek
  • Butlermine, south of the intersection with the road to Butlers Tin Mine

Carpet Snake fire trail has reopened. However, due to trail conditions it is restricted to 4WD only, and drivers should be cautious due to rough terrain.

NPWS is monitoring the conditions and will re-open the trails as soon as possible.

Closed areas: Walking track closed due to flood damage

Junction walk from Lemon Tree Flat campground is closed due to flood damage. You can still access the Junction and Dungeon lookout via Junction fire trail just west of Lemon Tree Flat campground.

Safety alerts: Ugly Corner Falls track damage

Ugly Corner Falls walking track is damaged due to flooding. Surfaces may be uneven due to erosion.

Please follow all signage and don't enter areas that are fenced off. Due to recent rainfall creek levels can change rapidly. It is unsafe to swim or attempt to cross rivers that are flooded.
