Samurai Beach is closed from Sunday 9 February 2020. The closure is due to severe weather and remains in place until further notice. Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, contact the local NPWS Hunter Central Coast area office on 02 4984 8200.

Safety alerts: No driving on the dunes, except for the Recreational Vehicle Area
Drive only on the waterfront, or in the Recreational Vehicle Area (RVA).
All dunes between the Lavis Lane and Anna Bay accesses are closed to driving.
The RVA, which is located south of the Lavis Lane access, is open for dune driving.
Tide warning: At high tide, sections of the beach may be impassable, plan your trip to travel at low tide. If the beach front is too narrow to pass safely, retrace your route. Do not attempt to bypass around the dunes. It is recommended you do not drive on the beach 2 hours before and after high tide. Visit the Bureau of Meteorology website for further information
Myall Lakes National Park is always open but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.
Park entry fees:
$8 per vehicle per day.
The park has coin/card operated pay and display machines at Mungo Brush campground. NPWS visitor service officers regularly visit camping areas to collect fees from campers and sell annual passes. Day passes and annual passes also available from the Great Lakes Area Office, Bulahdelah and Tea Gardens Visitor Information Centres, and other local outlets.
