A park fire ban is in place for Bulagaranda Aboriginal Area (Mt Yarrowyck), Jacky Barkers (in Nowendoc National Park), Muluerindie (in Warrabah National Park), The Green Gully Track and Youdales day use and camping areas (in Oxley Wild Rivers National Park) and remains in effect unless otherwise extended or removed. During park fire ban periods, all campfire and solid fuel (wood, heat beads, charcoal, briquettes, hexamine) barbecues and stoves are prohibited. Gas and electric barbecues and cookers are permitted as long as:
- They're under direct control of an adult
- The ground within 2m of the barbecue is cleared of all flammable materials
- There's an adequate supply of water (minimum of a bucket).
If a Total Fire Ban is in place, different rules apply. Contact the local park office before bringing a gas or electric barbecue or cooker.

Please note that NPWS staff will be undertaking a walking track survey in this location from November to early December 2023.
The survey will involve NPWS staff carrying a 360-degree camera to visually record walking track features, as part of an annual asset maintenance assessment.
This information is to ensure quality safe NPWS walking tracks for public enjoyment.
You'll be able to identify this survey as NPWS staff will be dressed in uniform carrying an above-head mounted camera.
NPWS respects your privacy. If you do not wish to be filmed, please respectfully ask the NPWS staff member to pause the camera until you pass out of camera frame.
The survey will be undertaken across multiple parks during November 2023, so will involve only very minimal time at each location and will be scheduled outside peak visitation times, so the survey it is unlikely to affect visitors.

Roadworks will be underway on Carrai Road from Monday 20th November to Friday 1st December 2023. Works will be between Kookaburra and Haydonville. The road may be uneven and slippery during this time. Drive safely and follow the directions of roadwork signs and staff.

Closed areas: Roads closed into Werrikimbe national park
Cockerawombeeba Road and Trail are closed until further notice due to extensive flood damage.
The roads will re-open once the Forestry Corporation completes repairs.

Closed areas: Temporary closure - Ebor Falls precinct
Ebor Falls visitor precinct in Guy Fawkes River NP will be temporarily closed from 16 October 2023, to allow for construction works of new lookouts and visitor precincts to be fast-tracked. This closure will include the Upper and Lower Falls visitor areas, the Ebor Falls Road (part only) and the Ebor Village walking track. Access to the Ebor Cemetery off Ebor Falls Road will remain open.
It is anticipated the Upper Falls precinct will reopen to the public in December 2023.
During the closure no toilet, picnic or rest stop facilities will be available at Ebor Falls. Travellers on the Waterfall Way are advised to use alternate amenities located in Ebor township or at the Ebor Sportsground.
Please do not attempt to enter these areas during the closure period, and follow the direction of any signage, staff and contractors. Penalties apply for non-compliance. For further information contact the NPWS Northern Tablelands Area office on 02 6739 0700.
