There will be changed traffic conditions on Ku-ring-gai Chase Road, Mount Colah from 9.30am to 3pm on Wednesday 10 March until Thursday 11 March 2021, inclusive.

Safety alerts: 1080 fox baiting program underway
A 1080 fox baiting program will be happening in Bouddi National Park from Thursday 11 February to Thursday 1 April 2021. Foxes are major predators of native wildlife.
1080 poison baits will be buried in a continuous and ongoing manner throughout Bouddi National Park during this time.
There will be warning signs in target areas and visitors must not touch baits. Dogs and cats are prohibited in NSW national parks. 1080 Poison is lethal to dogs and cats, and in the event of accidental poisoning, seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park is a popular location and will close at short notice if needed to ensure visitation levels do not exceed safe capacity required by COVID social distancing guidelines.
Many COVID-19 restrictions have now been lifted from visitor precincts and facilities in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
We encourage you to:
- Plan your visit outside of peak periods of 10am to 2pm
- Be prepared to move on if it is no longer possible for you to maintain a COVID-safe distance from other visitors. It is your responsibility to leave the area. Do not wait to be instructed by NPWS or police.
From Friday 29 January 2021, the maximum group size for an outdoor gathering will be increased to 50 people, including children. Groups are still expected to maintain social distancing and good hygiene.
The closure of toilets and other facilities will be decided on a case-by-case basis. Necessary site assessments will take place to consider the management of health and safety risk to visitors and staff, and available resourcing to maintain facilities. Access to sanitation products and running water cannot be guaranteed. We recommend bringing hand soap, hand wipes and toilet paper with you to maintain good hygiene as advised by the NSW Government.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting a baiting program using manufactured baits, fresh baits and Canid Pest Ejectors (CPEs) containing 1080 poison (sodium fluroacetate) for the control of foxes. The program is continuous and ongoing between Monday 1 February and Saturday 31 July 2021 in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Don’t touch baits or ejector devices. Penalties apply for non-compliance.
All baiting locations are identifiable by signs.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
Fox baiting in this reserve is aimed at reducing their impact on threatened species.
