Closed areas: Roads closed for causeway installation
Concrete causeways are being installed on several creek crossings in Timmallallie National Park during September. The following road is closed whilst work is being undertaken:
- CLOSED Rocky Road (between No.1 Break Road and Gibbican Road intersection from Monday 30th September - Monday 14th October 2024).

Other planned events: Notice of ongoing 1080 program
The Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes.
Ground baiting will occur in Pilliga National Park and Pilliga State Conservation Area.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) carries out continuous ground 1080 baiting in Warrumbungle National Park for the control of foxes. Meat baits and canid pest ejectors (CPE's) containing 1080 sodium fluoroacetate poison are laid in the Park north of Timor Road/John Renshaw Parkway. In addition to this, an aerial 1080 baiting program is also carried out every six weeks to reach inaccessible areas also north of Timor Road/John Renshaw Parkway.
All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs.
