Closed parks: Wollumbin National Park closed
Wollumbin (Mount Warning) summit track will remain closed pending the development of a Memorandum of Understanding and further joint management arrangements, with future management of the park to be guided by Aboriginal custodians.
Infrastructure work is progressing to reopen Korrumbyn Creek and Breakfast Creek Day Use Areas and Lyrebird track, which were damaged by severe flooding in 2022 and ongoing wet weather. Subject to favourable weather, these areas will reopen by July 2023.

Closed areas: Some Walking Tracks Closed - Border Ranges NP
The following walking tracks off Sheepstation Creek campground are closed until 17 April 2023 due to recent severe flooding causing multiple treefalls and landslips:
- Booyong track
- Rosewood track
- Palm Valley track
- Brushbox Falls lookout
These areas will open as soon as repairs are carried out and they are deemed safe for public access. Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, contact the Kyogle park office on 02 6632 0000.

Mebbin National Park and Cutters Camp Campground - OPEN
Some of the walking tracks and trails remain closed due to landslips and erosion caused by the severe rainfall causing dangerous conditions during February/March 2022.
Areas that remain CLOSED until they are made safe:
- Original section of Byrrill Creek Walking Track (closed due to severe landslip) an alternative walking track is now available.
- Lemon Tree Road Fire Trail
- Walters Road Fire Trail
- North Boundary Road Fire Trail

Closed areas: Minyon Falls lookout and day use area closed for event Sunday 18th of June
Minyon Falls lookout and day use area will be closed from 7:00am on the 18th of June to 17:00 on the 18th of June due to an event to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the creation of Nightcap National Park. The closed areas are:
- Minyon Falls lookout
- Minyon Falls day use area
- Rummery park camp ground
Note: Minyon Grass day use area and the Minyon east walking track from Minyon Grass to the base of Minyon Falls will remain open.

Closed areas: Closed tracks due to flood damage
The following areas are open:
- Minyon Grass Day Use Area
- Minyon Falls walking track from Minyon Grass Day Use Area to base of falls only
Whian Whian mountain bike trails open with possible machinery on tracks randomly.
The following walking tracks and areas are closed until Friday 30 June 2023 due to flood damage:
- Minyon Falls walking track from lookout to base of falls
- Protestors Falls walking track
- Terania Creek picnic area
- Pholis Gap walking track
Historic Nightcap track will be closed until November 2023.
The Minyon Drive access road is open.
These closures may be extended and any extension will be posted as soon as possible.
Alternative walking options in the area include:
- Big Scrub loop and Rocky Creek Dam walk, accessible from Rocky Creek Dam picnic area
- Mount Matheson loop accessible from Newton Drive.
Please drive with care as local roads leading to the park still have considerable flood damage. There are large pot holes, wash out and some narrow, single lane sections.
