Woody Head campground including all accommodation is closed from Monday 27 April to Sunday 14 June 2026 for maintenance and upgrade works.

The following area will experience periodic closure between 14 June and 30 June 2026 for aerial spraying operations:
Lantana will be sprayed by drone with the herbicide Glyphosate biactive. The area to be treated has dense lantana infestations that are not accessible using other treatment methods. This program is part of a systematic weed control program throughout Yuraygir National Park.
The operations are weather dependent and take only one (1) day to complete in favourable weather conditions. The site will be closed for a period of up to 4 hours.

Forest Corporation NSW will be conducting hauling operations on McPhillips Road, involving the use of logging trucks. An end date for the operation is unknown.

The canoe launch and viewing platform at Station Creek has been removed, and public access remains restricted until a new structure is installed. This closure is necessary to ensure public safety and protect the surrounding environment.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing ground baiting program in Yuraygir National Park from 1 January to 31 July 2026.
The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes. It's designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Bundjalung National Park visitors may experience loud aircraft noise until further notice. RAAF training operations from the nearby Evans Head Air Weapons Range may be heard and seen from the Black Rocks campground and Jerusalem Creek paddle route and walking track.
