NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting ground baiting programs in Deervale Nature Reserve from Thursday 5 November to Thursday 3 December 2020. This program will use meat baits and meat bait products containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.

This program is designed to minimise the impact of wild dogs on neighboring stock and to reduce the impact of foxes on native wildlife.

All baiting locations will be identified by signs. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs should be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting locations. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting ongoing aerial and ground baiting programs in this park from Tuesday 23 June to Tuesday 22 December 2020. This program will use meat baits, meat bait products and ejectors containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.

This program is designed to minimise the impact of foxes on wildlife, especially after the recent extensive bushfires, and to minimise the impact of wild dogs and foxes on neighbouring stock.
