Closed areas: Areas closed due to flooding
The following camping areas are closed from Tuesday 21 June 2022 until further notice due to widespread flooding:
- Woperana campgrounds
- Smithers Beach campground
- Quicks Beach campgrounds, including Kerrs Beach
- Ngawe campgrounds
- Backhouses campgrounds
- Boomanoomana campgrounds
- 1904 Beach campground (in Barooga campgrounds)
Many of the roads in these areas are closed and impassable due to changes in river height. All campgrounds will re-open as soon as they are safe.
Remember, it is never safe to drive, ride or walk through flood waters, so you'll need to reschedule your visit.

Closed areas: Berry Jerry precinct closed due to flooding
The Berry Jerry Precinct is closed until Thursday 31 July 2022 due to ongoing flooding and wet weather. This closure may be removed prior to this date if road conditions in the reserve dry out.

Closed areas: Limited access to Swifts Creek Campground
There is limited access to Swifts Creek Campground via the Cobb Highway due to water being over the road or wet conditions. Access is only available via Porters Creek Road or the River Road, near Picnic Point, Mathoura. Access to River Road is via Picnic Point Road.
