Closures will be in place until further notice.

Closed parks: Park Closed for Aerial Pest Control Operation
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an aerial baiting program in Oolambeyan National Park from Wednesday 2 September 2026 to Tuesday 15 September 2026. Oolambeyan National Park will be closed for this operation. The operation will involve the use of meat baits and meat bait products containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes.
The program is designed to minimise predator impact on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise the impact of foxes on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry points to baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks and Reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting locations. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Fire bans: Park Fire Ban - The Rock NR - Kengal Aboriginal Place
A park fire ban is in place in this park and remains in effect unless otherwise extended or removed.
