Closed areas: Walking track partially closed for repairs

The section of Googik track between Lake Road and the Saint Columba Anglican School entry will be closed from Wednesday 9 June to Friday 25 June 2021 for repairs.

Signs will be in place around closed areas. The section of Googik Track between Crestwood Estate and Saint Columba Anglican School remains open, however it is still impacted from pooling water.

Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, contact the local NPWS office.

Other planned events: Notice of 1080 baiting

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting a baiting program using meat baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes. The program will be conducted between Monday Friday 14 May and Monday 31 May 2021 in:

  • Crowdy Bay National Park
  • Lake Innes State Conservation Area
  • Queens Lake State Conservation Area
  • Innes Ruins Historic Site

All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs.

Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Closed areas: Sea Acres Boardwalk partially closed

The Sea Acres Rainforest boardwalk will be partially closed from Tuesday the 4th of May 2021 to allow for maintenence of the structure. Most of the boardwalk remains open allowing out and back access from both directions. The access fee is reduced to half price. The boardwalk will be re opened completely on weekends, public holidays and school holidays and returned to full price. 
This work will be ongoing through the winter months and its duration will be weather dependent. 

The Rainforest Centre, Cafe and Coastal walk remain open.

The historic Roto House within Roto House Historic Site is closed for until further notice. Reopening planning is underway for after the Covid restrictions change.

The grounds and carpark of Roto House Historic Site remain open to the public.
