Last reviewed: Fri 27 Sep 2024, 12.13pm An aerial and ground pest control operation will take place in Mount Kaputar National Park from 5:00PM Monday 14 October until 5:00PM Friday 18 October 2024. Kaputar Road and central visitation areas of the park will be CLOSED during this period. This includes Dawsons Spring campground, Dawsons Spring cabins and Bark Hut campground. Sawn Rocks will remain open. This pest control program will target feral goats and aims to reduce the significant impact they have on heritage sites and native plants and animals, including threatened species. Other pest animals including pigs, cats, foxes and wild dogs, will be targeted if observed during the operation. This closure may be extended and any extension will be posted as soon as possible. Closed areas: Bark Hut campground closed due to amenities upgrades

Bark Hut campground will be closed from Monday 14 October to Monday 11 November 2024, due to amenity block upgrades. As an alternative, visitors are encouraged to use facilities at Dawsons Spring campground.

This closure may be extended and any extension will be posted as soon as possible.

The Governor (Corrunbral Borawah) summit walking track is closed until further notice due to elevated track damage.

The Governor lookout walking track (from carpark to lookout platform) remains open.
