Closed areas: Racecourse trail partial closure

Racecourse trail is closed to vehicles for bridge construction approximately 100m west of Brushy Mountain campground to Spokes Mountain trail. Visitors can access Brushy Mountain campground via Hastings Forest Way.

Closed parks: Parks closed due to flood damage - Hastings/Macleay area

Several parks in the Hastings-Macleay area are closed due to flood and storm damage.

Camping is not permitted in closed parks.

These closures are due to widespread flooding and extensive damage to roads, campgrounds and other park facilities. Parks will be reopened as soon as they are safe to access. Some parks will remain closed for extended periods.

Other planned events: Oxley Highway closed between Gingers Creek and Mount Seaview

The Oxley Highway between Gingers Creek and Mount Seaview Road is closed due to landslides. Travellers are advised to access campgrounds and visitor areas in Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, Werrikimbe National Park and Cottan-Bimbang National Park via Walcha.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting a baiting program using red meat baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of Foxes and Wild Dogs.

The program will be continuous and ongoing between Sunday 30 May 2021 and Saturday 30 October 2021 in the following, parks, reserves and state conservation areas:

Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
