Closed areas: Mount Nangar Lookout Closed

As of Thursday 6 June 2024, vehicle access to Mount Nangar lookout will remain closed due to unsafe trail conditions.


Vehicles will be able to access Terarra Creek Camping and Picnic Area and Dripping Rock.


All walking tracks or walking along fire trails within the park are still permitted.

Other planned events: NOTICE OF 1080 BAITING Mount Canobolas State Conservation Area

The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting a baiting program which will include the placement of ground baits and the use of Canid Pest Ejectors (CPE’s) containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes.

The program will be continuous and ongoing between 1 March 2024 to 31 August 2024 within Mount Canobolas State Conservation Area.

All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs.

Please be reminded that domestic pets are not permitted on NPWS Estate. Pets and property working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the reserve or baiting location.

In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
