1080 ground baiting activities targeting wild dogs and other feral animals will commence across Ginghet Nature Reserve from Monday 28th April to Wednesday 28th May 2025.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise the impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock. Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting locations. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Evening and night ground shoot operations targeting feral cats will commence across Macquarie Marshes and Ginghet Nature Reserves from Thursday 1st to Tuesday 6th May 2025. Macquarie Marshes and Ginghet Nature Reserves are closed to the public, which applies during the period of the ground shoot operation. The operation will primarily be restricted to the southern Macquarie Marshes Nature Reserve during these dates but targeted areas could extend to other areas of the Macquarie Marshes and Ginghet Nature Reserves dependent on weather conditions and local access considerations.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a ground baiting program from 14 April 2025 to 30th June 2025. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.
The program will take place in Gwydir Wetlands State Conservation Area.
The program is designed to minimise the impact of wild dogs and foxes on wildlife and neighbouring stock.
