Closed parks: Nangar NP closed for FAFT trail maintenance and repairs from Monday 16th October.

As of 16 October 2023, Nangar National Park will be closed to all visitors due NPWS Fire Access and Fire Trail upgrade works.

Contractors and heavy plant will be operating within Nangar NP to upgrade the access trail network to improve access within the Park.

All trails are closed to all traffic, as the trails need essential fire safety upgrades, creek crossings, and flash flood erosion wash-aways will need to be repaired in this process as well.

Previous local rains delayed these important trail works, and the Park will be closed until Friday 15th December 2023. If works are completed earlier than this scheduled date, Nangar NP can be opened. Please continue to check the NPWS Web site for details.

For more information, please contact Central West Area office at Bathurst on 02 6332 7640 for the most up to date information.
