Safety alerts: Limited 1080 pest control program
A limited 1080 poison feral pest animal baiting program will be taking place from Wednesday 2 June to Wednesday 23 June 2021 in the central section of this park, and on some adjacent private properties with the consent of landholders. The program is centred on the northern section of the Ravensdale Valley near Yarramalong.
The baiting is targeting wild dogs which are a major predator of native wildlife and can be responsible for attacks on domestic farm stock.
The affected areas include the western side of Watagan Forest Road between Bee Camp Point Road in the north to Pitts Point Road in the south, to Ravensdale Road in the west.
Please remember that domestic animals are not permitted in this park at any time. 1080 poison is toxic to domestic cats and dogs. Seek urgent veterinary care if you suspect your animal has taken a bait.
