Getting there and parking

Fern Bower to Furber Steps walk starts from Cliff Drive in Blue Mountains National Park. To get there:

  • Turn off Great Western Highway at Katoomba, entering onto Parke Street.
  • Follow Parke Street for 100m, then turn left at the roundabout onto Bathurst Road.
  • Continue on Bathurst Road for 160m, then at the roundabout take the 1st exit, continuing onto Gang Gang Road.
  • Follow Gang Gang Road for 100m, then turn right onto Lurline Street.
  • Continue on Lurline Street for 550m, then turn left where it meets Waratah Street to continue on Lurline Street for another 240m.
  • Turn left onto Merriwa Street, follow it for 500m, and then continue onto Cliff Drive.
  • Follow Cliff Drive for 240m, the trailhead for Fern Bower to Furber Steps walk will be on your right.
