Closed areas: Woomargama National Park - eastern end closed

The eastern section of Woomargama National Park is closed. The closure is due to the Green Valley bushfire which has resulted in damage to trails and fallen trees. This closed area includes:

  • All areas east of Tin Mines campground through to Lankeys Creek and Jingelic Road
  • Tin Mines trail east of the campsite
  • Philis trail
  • Cockatoo Creek trail
  • Mandaring trail
  • Mathewsons trail
  • Millers trail and any other trails into the reserves which enter via Lankeys Creek or the River road

Samual Bollard campsites are still open and can be accessed by Tin Mines trail off Tunnel road, Woomargama.

Please do not enter the closed area. Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, contact the local NPWS office or visit the Rural Fire Service website.

Closed areas: Temporary closure of Tin Mines Trail 3.5km west of Norths Lookout - Woomargama NP

Tin Mines campground and Tin Mines trail are closed 3km west of Norths lookout through to Lankeys Creek Road due to pavement failure. 

Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, contact the local NPWS office on 02 6947 7025.

Samuel Bollard campground, Tunnel Road picnic area and Danny's Loop walk remain open.

Signs will be in place around closed areas. Access to Norths lookout is on foot only until the trail is reopened.
