Overview

Hospital picnic area is in Hill End Historic Site, near Village walking track. It’s a great spot to relax, connect with friends and enjoy a barbecue before you move on to the next art, culture or history attraction.

Wander the historic grounds, taking in the grand architecture of Hill End Hospital, built in the 1870s. You’ll also discover gold rush-era relics, from a model stamper battery and crusher to horse-drawn carriages, buggies, coaches and historic farm machinery.

The picnic area is conveniently located close to toilet facilities.
