Other planned events: Notice of 1080 aerial baiting
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting an aerial baiting program in this park between Monday 17 May to Friday 28 May 2021. The operation will involve the use of meat baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.
This program is designed to minimise the impact of foxes on wildlife and neighbouring stock. This program is timed to coincide with aerial baiting in a number of other NPWS reserves in the Blue Mountains area.
All baiting locations will be identified by signs. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting locations. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
For further information please call the NPWS Bathurst area office on 02 6332 7640.
