Due to ongoing wet weather, roads and tracks in Conjola National Park are in very poor condition.

A 4WD vehicle is recommended and some roads may be impassable.

Roadworks will commence 16 August 2022 until 31 October 2022. Expect short delays and road closures across the Parks' road network due to these roadworks. 

Drive safely and follow the directions of roadwork signs. For more information, contact the local NPWS office.

Notice of 1080 ongoing program

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting an ongoing ground baiting program in using meat and manufactured baits containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate)  poison for the control of foxes. The program will be continuous and on-going between Monday 18th July and 16th December 2022.

All baiting locations will be  identifiable by signs.

Domestic pests are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs) . Pets nd working dogs must be restrained or muzzled  in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning  seek immediate veterinary assistance.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a baiting program using fresh meat, manufactured baits and CPEs containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes and wild dogs. The program will be ongoing and continuous from Friday 1 July to Saturday 31 December 2022.

The baited parks, reserves and state conservation areas include:

  • Conjola National Park
  • Meroo National Park
  • Murramarang National Park
  • Narrawallee Creek Nature Reserve

There will be signs at all baiting locations.

Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs in the vicinity must be restrained or muzzled and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Safety alerts: Poor road conditions in Jerrawangala National Park and Parma Creek Nature Reserve

Due to ongoing wet weather, roads and tracks in Jerrawangala National Park and Parma Creek Nature Reserve are in very poor condition. 

A 4WD vehicle is recommended and some roads may be impassable.

Works will be undertaken to repair roads when resources and weather conditions allow.

Comerong Island Nature Reserve is closed due to widespread flooding, forecast rain events, impacts on access tracks and closure of the council ferry service. The reserve will re-open after tracks dry out and and are made safe for general access.
