Beginning at Perisher Valley Reservoir carpark, you’ll traverse Bullocks track and get to know the Thredbo River. The walk winds through twisted snow gum woodlands shaped by generations of snow and wind.
Along the way, your Discovery ranger will share stories about the remarkable landscapes, plants and wildlife of the Snowy Mountains. During the warmer months, alpine herb fields and grasslands provide colourful displays of wildflowers. Keep an eye out for snow daisies and bright yellow billy buttons.
After around 3.5km, you'll reach a scenic lookout with sweeping views across Thredbo Valley and Monaro Plains. Take time to soak in the alpine scenery and snap some photos before returning to the starting point.
