NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a baiting program using fresh meat, manufactured baits and CPEs containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes and wild dogs. The program will be ongoing and continuous from Friday 1 July to Saturday 31 December 2022.
The baited parks, reserves and state conservation areas include:
- Eurobodalla National Park
- Gulaga National Park
- Kooraban NP
- Mimosa Rocks National Park
- South East Forest National Park (Yowaka Section)
- Ben Boyd National Park
There will be signs at all baiting locations.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs in the vicinity must be restrained or muzzled and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Closed areas: Area closed due to flooding
The northern entry into Kangarutha walking track at Kianinny Bay is closed. Flood waters and sea surge have washed the pedestrian bridge away. Conditions at the crossing are unsafe. Please do not attempt to cross the bridge. Kangarutha walking track is still open with the exit point at the northern end being White Rock Road.

Safety alerts: Wog Way temporary closure
Wog Way is closed from Kanoonah Road in the north through to the park boundary in the south. Above average rainfall in March and April has caused deterioration of the road surface with a section becoming very boggy and unsuitable for vehicles. Coolangubra Forest Way provides alternative access for park visitors travelling to Waratah Campground or Pheasants Peak from Imlay Road.

Due to forecast heavy rainfall the northern section of Mumbulla Creek Road is 4WD only from 500m south of Wyuna trail to Tee-ridge Road.
Mumbulla Creek Road has recently been graded and some sections of this road may become temporarily impassable to vehicles due to rain, thunderstorms and vehicle damage to the road surface.
Please avoid this area until the road dries out. This closure does not affect residents of Mumbulla Creek Road as they can access their property from Dr George Mountain Road.
Please note that Biamanga Cultural Area (Mumbulla Creek Falls) is closed. Please do not not drive on Mumbulla Creek Road in an attempt to access a closed area.

The section of the Mumbulla Creek Road road within 500m of the Dr George Mountain Road intersection has become boggy from water saturation and may become temporarily impassable to some vehicles.
Residents should drive with care, follow onsite directional signs and where possible, minimise use of the road during this time whilst urgent repairs to maintain access are being carried out.
Large or heavy vehicles should not use this road at this time. Visitors should avoid this area until the road dries out and road repairs are completed.
