Closed areas: Parts of Blue Mountains National Park closed
Many walking tracks, roads and fire trails within Blue Mountains National Park remain closed following sustained wet weather causing subsidence hazards, major landslides or infrastructure upgrades.
The following areas are closed:
Katoomba and Leura
- Honeymoon Bridge is closed due to rockfall risk.
- Fern Bower, Amphitheatre and Leura Forest Tracks are closed due to multiple landslides and damage.
- Ruined Castle, Golden Stairs, Solitary Loop and Federal Pass west of Scenic World are closed due to multiple landslides.
- Access to Mount Solitary from Kedumba Valley will remain temporarily closed until saftey works are complete.
- Lone Lyrebird track is closed between Gordon Road and the War Memorial, due to subsidence. Detour is in place.
- Sections of Prince Henry Cliff walk (part of Grand Cliff Top Walk) and Round Walk are closed between Prince Henry picnic area and Scenic World from Tuesday 9 April to end of June 2024 for track maintenance. Follow detour on Cliff Drive. Access to Furber Steps is from Prince Henry picnic area (Katoomba Falls Kiosk). Detours in place.
- Bridal Veil View lookout and track (Leura) are closed from Wednesday 10 April for maintenance.
- Prince Henry Cliff walk (part of Grand Cliff Top Walk) is closed between Gordon Falls picnic area and Elysian Rock lookout, due to a landslide. Visit the Blue Mountains City Council website for information.
- Prince Henry Cliff walk (part of Grand Cliff Top Walk) is closed between Fern Bower track and Echo Tree & Flat Rock lookout, due to a landslide. Please use Cliff Drive as short detour.
- Part of Lindeman Pass is closed due to a major landslide below Gladstone lookout. Roberts Pass is closed due to rockfall and landslide hazards.
- The six foot track is affected by multiple road closures.
Wentworth Falls and Woodford
- Part of Undercliff Track (part of Grand Cliff Top Walk) is closed between Princes Rock and Fletchers Lookout due to a landslide.
- Valley of the Waters track is closed below Sylvia Falls. There is no access to Roberts Pass, Vera Falls, Hippocrene Falls or Wentworth Falls from Valley of the Waters.
- Charles Darwin walk (part of the Grand Cliff Top walk) is closed between Fletcher Street and Weeping Rock. Detours are in place to provide directions to Wentworth Falls Picnic Area. Visit the Blue Mountains City Council website for information.
- Part of National Pass (west of Wentworth Falls middle crossing) is closed due to major landslide.
- Wentworth Pass and Slack Stairs are closed due to multiple landslides.
- Kedumba Valley Road will be closed until 8th May 2024 for road repairs - open to pedestrians over weekends. Kedumba campground is closed until the 8th May 2024, including weekends.
Blackheath, Mount Victoria and Bells Line of Road
Adventure Recreation, canyons, abseiling and rock climbing
- Some adventure recreation areas and routes are specifically closed where the access or exit road/track is mentioned above.

Closed areas: Sunnyside Ridge Road closed
Sunnyside Ridge Road is closed due to unsafe conditions. Damaged mining infrastructure poses a risk to park visitors. The road will remain closed until remedial works make the road safe again.
The closure is inclusive of side tracks, The Spanish Steps and Campbells Road. This closure may be extended depending on progress of the works.

Closed areas: Glow Worm Tunnel Road and Camp Road roadside vegetation management
NPWS will be implementing roadside vegetation management during April and May 2024 in the Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area and Wollemi National Park.
Roads affected are:
• Camp Road between Eastern Boundary Road and Forest Camp:
o Closed to the public for approximately 1 week.
o Access to Forest Camp via Eastern Boundary Road
• Glowworm Tunnel Road from Bungleboori Day Use Area to Galah Mountain Road:
o Traffic control will be in place for approximately 3 to 4 weeks. One-way traffic only. Expect short delays.

Closed areas: Glow Worm Tunnel closure
The Glow Worm Tunnel visitor precinct and associated walking tracks currently closed for upgrade works, and will re-open Saturday 1 June.
This closure includes:
- Glow Worm Tunnel carpark
- Glow Worm Tunnel walking track
- Pagoda track (Old Coach track)
- Glow Worm Tunnel to Newnes walking track (to ‘four-ways’ intersection).
- Dry Canyon access track (Wolgan View canyon).
There is no access to Glow Worm Tunnel during this time.

Closed areas: Lost City South Closure
Lost City South is closed until December 2024 for construction associated with the Lost City Walking Track.
Major works include road repairs and access improvements, lookouts and facilities and construction of the Lost City Walking Track.
Lost City South will re-open in December 2024, with 4WD access currently open via Lost City north.

Maiyingu Marragu Trail (formerly known as Blackfellows Hand Trail) is closed between Glowworm Tunnel Road and Beecroft Fire Trail on weekdays for road repairs. The trail will be open from 7:00pm Friday to 6:00am Monday (inclusive of Saturday and Sunday). Closure is effective from Monday 8th April until Friday 10th of May.

Closed areas: Roadworks along Glow Worm Tunnel Road
Minor roadworks along Glow Worm Tunnel Road will take place from Wednesday 10 January to Friday 3 May 2024. This includes small sections of State Mine Gully Road and Old Bells Line of Road. The road won't be closed, however there will be traffic management in place to guide vehicles around roadworks.

Safety alerts: Haulage trucks using Old Bells Line of Rd
Haulage trucks are in operation along Old Bells Line of Rd between the park entrance near Chifley Road (Zig Zag Railway) and Clarence Sands during the following times:
• Monday to Friday: 04.00 to 18.00
• Saturday: 04.00 to 13.00
During these times road users are reminded to:
• drive with caution
• adhere to the speed limit of 40 km/hr
• listen for truck movements via UHF-11
