NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service is conducting an aerial pest management program in Yathong Nature Reserve, Round Hill Nature Reserve, and Nombinnie Nature Reserve and State Conservation Area. This program will utilise fresh meat baits containing 1080 (sodium fluroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.

This baiting program will occur between Friday 15 August 2025 and Monday 25 August 2025. It will reduce the impacts of pest animals on wildlife and threatened species in the park and neighbouring stock.

Please be reminded that domestic pets, including dogs, are not permitted on NPWS estate. Pets and working dogs may be affected and must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity of the reserve and must not enter the baiting location (as 1080 is lethal to dogs and cats). In the event of accidental poisoning, seek immediate veterinary assistance.
