NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a baiting program using fresh meat, manufactured baits and CPEs containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs. The program will be ongoing and continuous from Friday 16 April to Saturday 16 October 2021.
The baited parks, reserves and state conservation areas include:

Closed areas: Flooded river crossings
Recent severe weather and flooding has caused significant damage to the river crossing on Dry Creek fire trail. This river crossing is currently impassable. There is no access from Merricumbene fire trail to Araluen Road.
All other river crossings should be treated with extreme caution, if driving through. Some river crossings may have changed or become unstable due to flooding.

Closed areas: Roads closed for maintenance
Roadworks will be underway within Eurobodalla National Park during April and May.
The following roads will remain open to public access whilst works are carried out depending on conditions:
- Bogola Head Road
- Honeysuckle Road
- Blackfellows Point Road to Beachcomber Holiday Park
Visitors may enter these areas with care; noting that the road surface may be uneven and slippery during this time. Please drive safely and follow the directions of roadwork signs and staff.
Congo campground access road will be closed for resurfacing for the month of May 2021. The campground will be closed from Saturday 1 May to Friday 11 June 2021. Visitors are not permitted to enter closed work areas.

Packers Swamp Road, south from the Snowy Mountain Highway to the entry to Nunnock Campground, is only accessible to 4WD vehicles. The road is not suitable for 2WD vehicles.

Closed parks: Wadbilliga National Park closed
This park is closed due to significant bushfire and subsequent flood damage, particularly relating to bridge infrastructure. The closed areas include:
- Lake Creek campground
- Cascades campground
- Cascades walking track and viewing platform
- Tuross Falls walking track
- Wadbilliga Crossing picnic area
- Wadbilliga Road
Repair and assessment works are ongoing for bridge replacements. NPWS will be reviewing the closures in June 2021 when some areas may be able to be reopened, however it is likely that some areas will remain closed beyond this point.

Closed areas: Roads closed for maintenance works
The roads to visitor areas within Mimosa Rocks National Park will be closed from Monday 19 April to Thursday 17 June 2021 for road maintenance. This includes:
- Aragunnu Road
- Picnic Point Road (including part of Wapengo Lake Road from the private property gate)
- Bithry Inlet Road (Penders Road)
- Middle Beach Road
- Gillards Road
- Nelson Lake Road / Nelson Beach Road
The roadworks will depend on the weather conditions during this time. It's a good idea to call ahead before travelling to Mimosa Rocks National Park to check for any closures or delays. These closures may be extended with an extension posted as soon as possible. These works are necessary to repair the road surface and drainage to ensure the roads provide suitable visitor access. Notification signs and temporary closures will be placed on each road until the works are completed.

Closed areas: Cowdroys Road closed
Cowdroys Road remains closed following a severe weather event that occurred over a number of days from 19th March 2021. The closure is in place to protect the road surface from vehicle damage. This area will be reopened once the road surface has dried and is stable for traffic. Further rainfall may result in this closure being extended, and any changes will be posted as soon as possible.
This road closure does not affect access to Gillards campground.

Safety alerts: Bingie Dreaming track - closed and open coastal lakes and lagoons
Bingie Dreaming track crosses openings to several Intermittently Closed and Open Coastal Lakes and Lagoons (ICOLLS). Openings of these lakes and lagoons are often unpredictable and can be quite dramatic. Please be aware that although lakes are usually only open for short periods (weeks), they can be impassable when open.
The Coila Lake opening is at the southern end of Bingie Dreaming track. Please check if this lake is open before you set out. If the opening is impassable, you won't be able to access the village of Tuross to complete the walk.

The following areas in Deua National Park are closed:
- Bendethera Caves walking track and cave access is closed due to significant fire damage. All track markers were destroyed by fire and are yet to be replaced. It is dangerous to walk off designated tracks in Karst areas. Please do not enter this area.
- Mongamula East fire trail
- Oulla Creek fire trail
- Hanging Mountain lookout
These areas are closed due to substantial bushfire recovery works. Please keep out of the closure signs and any cordoned off areas.

For visitor safety, campfires and solid fuel fires (wood, heat beads, charcoal, briquettes, hexamite) are not permitted at Middle Beach campground or picnic area.
The use of gas-fired, liquid fuel and electrical appliances will be permitted where:
- The appliance is under the direct control of an adult
- The appliance is placed or located in an area where there is no combustible material within 2m
- There is an adequate water supply to extinguish fire, should it start next to the appliances.

Safety alerts: Wet weather road condition advice
Roads in Mimosa Rocks National Park may become wet and slippery following rainfall or thunderstorms. Some sections of these roads may become temporarily impassable to 2WD vehicles without warning due to rain, thunderstorms or vehicle damage. Access will be affected until conditions improve.

- Gillards Road
- Bithry Inlet Road
- Nelson Lake Road
- All other dirt roads within the park
Plan you trip:

- Check the weather forecast before setting out and during your visit/stay. Consider altering or delay your trip if weather conditions change.
- Tell family or friends where you are going and when you expect to return and let them know you have returned.

Waratah Road North in South East Forests National Park is closed due to planned bridge works. You can still access Pheasants Peak track head via Waratah Road South off Coolangubra Forest Way. Safety alerts: Some fire trails not suitable for trailer access
Within Deua National Park some trails are not suitable for trailer access. National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has had advisory signs in place for some time to encourage people towing 4WD trailers to avoid some of the steeper, harder-to-maintain trails in Deua National Park. However, due to ongoing damage to trails as a result of continued inappropriate use of 4WDs towing trailers on these signposted trails, NPWS is now prohibiting the use of trailers on the following trails in Deua National Park:
- Dampier Mountain trail
- Oulla Creek trail
- Minuma Range trail
- Merricumbene trail
- Mongamula trail
- Dry Creek trail
It is now an offence to tow trailers on these trails. The penalty for towing trailers on these trails is a $300 penalty infringement notice, or higher if the matter is taken to court. By keeping trailers away from these identified trails, you reduce the safety risk to yourself and others, reduce damage to the park environment and your assets and reduce park maintenance costs, a benefit to everyone. Trailer access to Bendethera is still available from Moruya via Little Sugarloaf Road and Bendethera trail. From Braidwood, this increases travel time by about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
