Other planned events: Notice of aerial shooting operation - November 2025

National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting an aerial shooting program targeting vertebrate pest animals such as feral goats, deer, pigs & foxes.

The program is scheduled between 10 November 2025 to 16 November 2025.

Exact dates for each park are not fixed to allow for flexibility if circumstances such as weather impact the operation. Aerial shooting is planned to occur in the following reserves:

Nangar National Park, Conimbla National Park, Weddin Mountains National Park and Barton Nature Reserve.

Information regarding park closures can be found on the NPWS website: https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/alerts/alerts-list

Aerial shooting supplements other control measures which can include trapping, ground shooting and baiting.

NPWS takes a strategic and integrated approach to pest management on lands we manage. We aim to minimise the adverse impacts of pests on Biosecurity, biodiversity, cultural values, neighbours and the community. Only qualified and appropriately trained personnel will participate in this program.

If you have any questions regarding the aerial shooting program, please call your local NPWS Central West Area office at Dubbo on (02) 6841 7100, or Bathurst on (02) 6332 7640.
