NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a baiting program using fresh meat, manufactured baits and CPEs containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes. The program will be ongoing and continuous from Monday 16 May to Friday 17 October 2022.
The baited parks and reserves include:
- South East Forests National Park
- Coolumbooka Nature Reserve
- Bondi Gulf Nature Reserve
- Wadbilliga National Park
There will be signs at the entry to all baiting locations.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs in the vicinity must be restrained or muzzled and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing aerial baiting program from from Monday 16 May 2022 to Friday 27 May 2022 in the following parks and reserves:
- Badja Swamps Nature Reserve
- Budawang National Park
- Bungonia State Conservation Area
- Coolumbooka Nature Reserve
- Deua National Park
- Egans Peak Nature Reserve
- Monga National Park
- Morton National Park
- Nadgigomar Nature Reserve
- South East Forest National Park
- Tarlo River National Park and
- Wadbilliga National Park
The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise the impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. Closed areas: Wadbilliga Road and Lake Creek campground closed due to impacts from ongoing weather events.
The following areas are closed from Wednesday 6th April 2022 until further notice due to impacts from severe weather events and widespread flooding:

Many creek crossings are impassable, and road conditions are slippery and unstable due to severe rainfall causing dangerous conditions. Please follow Park signage and staff directives and do not attempt to enter these areas. Penalties apply for non-compliance.
