Applies from Thu 8 Oct 2026, 6.00pm to Fri 9 Oct 2026, 6.00am. Last reviewed: Fri 2 Oct 2026, 3.34pm Areas of Beowa National Park will be closed to the public from 6pm Thursday 8 October to 6am Friday 9 October 2026 for ground shooting for feral animal control. The closed areas are: Haycock Point picnic area Severs Beach Pinnacles loop walking track Quondola Point Terrace Beach and Lennard Island This operation will involve the ground shooting of foxes and deer at night for the protection of threatened shorebirds and ecological communities. Park closure warning signs will be placed at entrances to the shooting area while shooting operations are occurring. Do not enter the closed area during shooting operations. Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information or to confirm if a closure will be in place for a specific night, please contact the Merimbula NPWS office on 02 6495 5000. Details
