The following parks, reserves and areas will be closed from 2pm, Sunday 27 October to 2pm, Friday 1 November 2024 for a pest management program:

  • Araluen Nature Reserve
  • Majors Creek State Conservation Area
  • Frogs Hole Nature Reserve
  • Badja Swamps Nature Reserve
  • Berlang State Conservation Area
  • Deua National Park, west of Bendethera campground.
  • Bendethera Valley campground
  • South East Forest National Park (Nunnock Swamp Area) 
  • Wadbilliga National Park, west of Belowra.

This program will involve aerial shooting during daylight hours. Feral species targeted under this program include deer, goats, pigs, foxes and other pests. It aims to reduce the significant impact they have on native plants and animals including threatened species.

The closed areas will be sign-posted at relevant access points. Please avoid these areas and do not enter closed areas during this time. Please follow directions from NPWS staff and authorised contractors.
