Mutawintji National Park is closed from 6am, Tuesday 15 September to 8pm, Wednesday 23 September 2026 for aerial shooting for feral animal control. This closure will include:

  • Mutawintji National Park
  • Mutawintji Historic Site
  • Mutawintji Nature Reserve
  • Mutawintji State Conservation Area (Nuntherungie)
  •  

Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, contact the NPWS Broken Hill office on (08) 8084 2880.
