Jewfish Boardwalk was burnt during the 2019/2020 bushfire season and is closed. Reconstruction is planned for 2022.

Lennard's Island walking track and carpark will be closed from Monday 16 January 2023 to Monday 17 April 2023 due to upgrade works.

One carpark space is closed to the public for material storage. Workers will be present on the walking track and carpark.

Other planned events: Notice of ongoing 1080 pest management program

NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a baiting program using fresh meat, manufactured baits and CPEs containing 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of foxes and wild dogs. The program will be ongoing and continuous from Friday 1 July to Saturday 30 June 2023.

The baited parks, reserves and state conservation areas include:

  • Araleun Nature Reserve 
  • Badja Swamps Nature reserve
  • Beowa National Park, formerly Ben Boyd National Park
  • Deua National Park
  • Eurobodalla National Park
  • Gulaga National Park
  • Kooraban National Park
  • Majors Creek State Conservation Area
  • Mimosa Rocks National Park
  • Monga National Park and State Conservation Area
  • South East Forest National Park 
  • Wadbilliga National Park

There will be signs at all baiting locations.

Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs in the vicinity must be restrained or muzzled and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
