Last reviewed: Mon 23 Sep 2024, 5.03pm The following parks, reserves and areas will be closed from 2pm, Sunday 20 October until 2pm, Friday 25 October 2024 for a pest management program: Beowa National Park (Green Cape area), including Light to Light walk, Bittangabee campground and Saltwater Creek campgrounds. Nadgee Nature Reserve This program will involve aerial shooting during daylight hours. Feral species targeted under this program include deer, goats, pigs, foxes and other pests. It aims to reduce the significant impact they have on native plants and animals including threatened species. The closed areas will be signposted at relevant access points. Please avoid these areas and do not enter closed areas during this time. Please follow directions of NPWS staff and authorised contractors. Penalties apply for non-compliance. Closed areas: Light to Light walk

Light to Light walk is currently closed between Saltwater Creek and Bittangabee Bay until late November 2024 to allow for track upgrades. These closures will impact plans to complete the return-walk. This closure will not affect Saltwater Creek or Bittangabee campgrounds.

If you're booking your walk through a licensed tour operator, you can expect that these operators are being regularly informed by NPWS, so that track closure impacts can be planned for and managed. NPWS apologizes for ongoing Light to Light walk delays.

Please monitor NPWS alerts for track closures, be prepared to modify your itinerary while track upgrades are being completed and consider transport options to divert around closed sections of the walk.
