If you like gardening and weeding with a purpose, this volunteer activity is for you. Over the last 20 years, Braeside bushcare volunteers have made a real and positive impact on Braeside Upland Swamp in Blue Mountains National Park, near Blackheath.

Lane Cove National Park bushcare

In Lane Cove National Park, you’ll find a bush regeneration group working somewhere in the park just about every day of the year. Become a volunteer and get actively involved in conserving the biodiversity of this significant tract of Sydney bushland. Meet new people and enjoy the extra exercise in the great outdoors.

Each group decides how often they volunteer. Most bushcare groups volunteer onsite from 9am–1pm, although there are some afternoon groups.

Prince Henry Cliff walk bushcare

Volunteer with the Prince Henry Cliff Walk bushcare group to help restore native threatened-species habitat in the world-renowned Blue Mountains National Park. Meet like-minded people, learn about special plants and animals, take in magnificent views and enjoy morning tea with the group.
