Closed areas: Light to Light walk closure
Please expect track closures from Boyds Tower to Saltwater Creek from late July 2023 until December 2023 to allow for track upgrades. These closures will impact plans to complete the return-walk. This closure will not affect Saltwater Creek or Bittangabee campgrounds.
If you're booking your walk through a licensed tour operator, you can expect that these operators are being regularly informed by NPWS, so that track closure impacts can be planned for and managed.
Please monitor NPWS alerts for track closures, be prepared to modify your itinerary while track upgrades are being completed and consider transport options to divert around closed sections of the walk.
Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, contact the local NPWS office on 02 6495 5000.
