Heavy rain and strong winds are expected over the next few days associated with an east coast low.  Visitors are warned that roads and walking tracks could be slippery, flooded and impassable. Areas, tracks and roads could be closed at short notice. There is also a increased risk of treefall and landslides in such conditions.

Safety alerts: Drinking water in Capertee National Park

You'll need to bring your own water for drinking and cooking in Capertee National Park. Water supplied at Capertee Homestead and Capertee Cottage is untreated and only suitable for showering and washing dishes.

Campers at Capertee and Policemans Point campgrounds should not use water from Capertee River for drinking or cooking.
