Here's your chance to experience the iconic Great North walk up close.
Starting in February and finishing in November each year, our 10 full-day guided walks take you from Sydney to the Central Coast hinterland near Somersby. You’ll explore the rich cultural history and environments of northern Sydney and Hawkesbury sandstone country. Bring your camera to capture the breathtaking views.

Join this guided tour in Berowra Valley National Park. You'll walk 10km across Sydney’s north from Thornleigh to Hornsby for stage 3 of the Great North walk.
Sunday 26 April and Wednesday 29 April 2026, 8am to 3pm.
On this 16km guided hike we'll traverse Galston Gorge, beautiful waterholes, and wonderful rock overhangs in Berowra Valley National Park. Start and end this section of the Great North walk at Hornsby station.
Sunday 24 May and Wednesday 27 May 2026, 8am to 3.30pm.
Stage 5 of the Great North walk takes us from Hornsby to Berowra stations. Explore 12km on this guided walk through the hidden valleys of Berowra Valley National Park.
Sunday 21 June and Wednesday 24 June 2026, 8am to 4pm.
Take in stunning views of Berowra Valley National Park on stage 6 of the Great North walk. You’ll explore 14km of bushland between Berowra and Cowan stations on this 8-hour guided tour.
Sunday 26 July and Wednesday 29 July 2026, 8am to 4.30pm.
Stage 7 of the Great North walk shows off the spectacular diversity of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Discover ridges and rainforests on the 13km walk from Cowan to Hawkesbury River stations.
Sunday 23 and Wednesday 26 August 2026, 8am to 4pm.
Panoramic views of Sydney’s northern coastline await you on stage 8 of the Great North walk. The 20km guided tour through Brisbane Water National Park starts at Patonga and ends at Wondabyne Station.
Sunday 27 and Wednesday 30 September 2026, 8am to 5pm.
Stage 9 of the Great North walk takes you into the temperate rainforest of Brisbane Water National Park. The 16km guided tour starts at Wondabyne Station and ends at Kariong.
Sunday 25 October and Wednesday 28 October 2026, 8am to 3.15pm.
Complete the Great North walk challenge with the tenth and final leg of the series. You’ll walk 18km from Kariong to Somersby, exploring the serene waterways of Brisbane Water National Park.
