Safety alerts: Extreme weather conditions

Following the recent weather event where heavy seas, large well and high winds and rainfall were experienced across the coastal area, rock shelves, beaches and estuary crossings may be dangerous and impassable. Similarly many of our roads and trails have been damaged or are blocked by fallen trees.

Assessments are currently being conducted across the Eurobodalla area by our NPWS staff for related damage. Many creek crossings are continuing to see flood level water flow, roads and trails are closed and impassable, and beach access points have been washed away.

Exercise extreme caution if entering the Parks and consider postponing your visit. Please follow all directives of staff and road signage and do not enter areas that have been closed. Penalties apply for non-compliance.

For more detailed information and closures, visit the individual park websites or contact the local park office on (02) 4476 0800 or via email at npws.eurobodalla@environment.nsw.gov.au
