Overview

Join a special guided tour to discover the significance of Narran Lake Nature Reserve, near Brewarrina, on an open day. You'll learn about the area through scientists as well as the traditional Aboriginal Custodians of this land.

Friday 30 and Saturday 31 May 2025, 10am to 3pm.

Please note

  • Friday is the better day for school groups to visit the park.
  • Saturday may be preferable for adults to book a tour.

  • Take a guided tour through the spectacular wetlands
  • Discover the rich culture of the area through conversations and storytelling with Traditional Custodians 
  • Learn about Ngarrawuwilanha yanaawayilanha (looking back going forward)
  • Learn about traditional Aboriginal tool making and weaving methods during demonstrations
  • Enjoy cultural singing and dancing performances
  • Taste delicious bush tucker and join in a barbeque lunch

Staff from the Commonwealth Environmental Water Office and NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will be on hand to answer any questions you have.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes.
