Closed parks: Park closed due to weather conditions
Due to the current rain and Council Road Closures the following parks are closed:
- Gundabooka National Park
- Gundabooka State Conservation Area
- Toorale National Park
- Toorale State Conservation Area
- Brindingabba National Park
- Culgoa National Park
- Ledknapper Nature Reserve
- Nocoleche Nature Reserve
These closures are weather dependent and may be extended.
Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, please contact the local office on 02 6830 0200.

Other planned events: Notice of 1080 ground baiting program
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a ground baiting program in Toorale National park and State Conservation Area from Wednesday 23rd October 2024 to Monday 23rd December 2024.The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock. Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location.
Domestic pets are not permitted on NPWS estate. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
