Set against the leafy surrounds of Lane Cove National Park and overlooking Lane Cove River, Lane Cove National Park Cafe is the ideal place to stop and refuel when exploring the park.

The cafe has a low-key vibe and offers a variety of tasty snacks, light meals and refreshments. Whether you're a nature enthusiast dropping in for a quick bite or enjoying a family day out, Lane Cove National Park Cafe has something for everyone.

The covered playground is sure to keep the kids entertained for hours. Watch them play while you sip on a coffee and if the weather is less than perfect, take shelter in the peaceful alfresco dining area.

If you're planning a picnic but don't feel like self-catering, grab a coffee and one of the cafe's picnic platters. Once you've polished off your lunch you can hit the nearby Riverside walking track or take on a section of the multi-day Great North walk.

Conveniently located footsteps from the tranquil Lane Cove River, it's the perfect stopover before launching a boat or kayak from The Boatshed.

Park info

  • in Lane Cove National Park in the Sydney and surrounds region
  • Lane Cove National Park is open 9am to 7pm during daylight savings (until 6pm at other times). The park may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger.

  • Park entry fees:

    $8 per vehicle per day. Day passes are available from on-park pay machines that accept coins and credit cards, and you can also pay for your visit via the Park’nPay app.

    Bus: $4.40 per adult, $2.20 per child (per day). Prior payment may be required, please phone the Lane Cove National Park Office for more information.

    Group bookings:

    Under the National Parks and Wildlife Regulation 2009, prior written approval is required for organised groups of 30 or more people planning to visit the park. Contact the park office prior to your visit.
