On this Stage 2 (Years 3-4) school excursion focused on HSIE in Blue Mountains National Park, we'll explore Wentworth Falls Undercliff walking track on a guided Discovery tour. Learn about the plants and animals that live here, the roles of national park workers and the rules that help protect this World Heritage Area.

Objectives

Students will:

  • Visit a World Heritage-listed national park
  • Identify and experience a forest or woodland environment
  • Explore the importance of natural vegetation to animals for habitats
  • Investigate ways Aboriginal people value the environment and have a connection to Country
  • Find out how Aboriginal people manage the land sustainably
  • Discuss issues and how Blue Mountains National Park is managed.

Medium. Discovery Ranger guided bush walk and activities on uneven surfaces and stairs in the bushland environment and at lookouts.
Price

$295 per group for up to 20 students. Additional Park staff will be required for groups of over 20 students at extra cost. Price includes GST.
