Geehi horse camp is a perfect place to camp with horses while riding the epic Bicentennial National trail, and exploring the park’s horse riding trails south of Khancoban.
Located just off Alpine Way, nestled below the mountains, you’ll find water for horses, paddocks, plus parking for horse floats and trucks. Barbecue a tasty meal on the fire rings, and relax at the picnic table as the sun sets on the high peaks of the Main Range. You’ll need to bring your own firewood to use the fire rings.
Be sure to bring your own equipment to secure your horse in case others are using the yards and hitching rails. It’s a good idea to secure your horse at night in floats or yards, as wild horses often visit.
There are no bins at the site so please take your rubbish away with you.
Bookings are required. Book online or call the National Parks Contact Centre on 1300 072 757.
