Closed parks: Abercrombie Karst Conservation Reserve closed
Abercrombie Karst Conservation Reserve will remain closed to the public until 2026 due to ongoing flood repairs and enhancements to visitor services and facilities. NPWS will announce a reopening date in the new year.
The closure affects the entire reserve, including walking tracks, campgrounds, Arch Cottage, caves and trails.

The following parks are closed from 4pm, Sunday 17 May to 5.30pm, Friday 22 May 2026 for an aerial and ground pest control operation:
- Abercrombie River National Park and State Conservation Area
- Abercrombie Karst Conservation Reserve
- Mares Forest
- Turon National Park
- Kanangra Boyd National Park
- Jenolan Karst Conservation Reserve
- Yerranderrie State Conservation Area
Yerranderie Regional Park and the Oberon-Colong Stock Route remain open.
