Overview

Inner Pocket Nature Reserve was created in June 1989. It covers an area of 236ha. View the detailed park and fire management documents.

Access

Inner Pocket Nature Reserve is landlocked by private property and general visitors are not permitted. There are no walking tracks or visitor facilities and public access is not permitted to the reserve. The reserve is set aside primarily for the conservation of nature.

Due to the number of threatened species and ecological endangered communities, Inner Pocket Nature Reserve is primarily for the conservation of nature.

For this reason, NPWS generally grants consent for access for scientific research only, with private landholder consent.

All access to the reserve is via Middle Pocket Road, Inner Pocket Trail, and Skyline Road which requires NPWS and/or multiple private landholder written permission.

Prohibited

  • Public access not permitted.
  • Pets and domestic animals (other than certified assistance animals) are not permitted. Find out which regional parks allow dog walking and see the pets in parks policy for more information.
