The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting an aerial shooting program targeting vertebrate pests such as wild goats, feral deer and feral pigs.

The program is scheduled between 25 and 28 March 2024. Exact dates for each park are not fixed to allow for flexibility if circumstances such as weather impact the operation.

Aerial shooting is planned to occur within Winburndale Nature Reserve and Eusdale Nature Reserve and supplements other control measures which can include trapping, mustering, ground shooting and baiting.

NPWS takes a strategic and integrated approach to pest management on lands we manage. We aim to minimise the adverse impacts of pests on biodiversity, cultural values, neighbours and the community. Only qualified and appropriately trained personnel will participate in this program.

If you have any questions regarding the aerial shooting program, please call our Bathurst office on (02) 6332 7640.

Information regarding park closures can be found on the NPWS website: https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/alerts/alerts-list
