Closed parks: Park Closed for Aerial Pest Animal Control Operation
AERIAL PEST ANIMAL CONTROL OPERATION
The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) will be conducting an aerial shooting program targeting vertebrate pest animals such as feral goats, pigs and deer.
The program is scheduled to occur during daylight hours and this reserve will be closed from 8:00am Wednesday 25th to 5:00pm Saturday 28th September 2024.
Aerial shooting supplements other control measures which include trapping, ground shooting and baiting.
NPWS takes a strategic and integrated approach to pest management on lands we manage.
We aim to minimise the adverse impacts of pest animals on biodiversity, cultural values, neighbours and the community.
Only qualified and appropriately trained personnel will participate in this program.
If you have any questions regarding the aerial shooting program, please call our Bathurst office on (02) 6332 7640.
