NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting a Wild Dog Trapping program. The operation will use traps checked daily.
The program will take place in Ledknapper Nature Reserve.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.

Toorale National Park is closed due to current flooding and continued rising river levels.
All visitation areas have been affected.
The closure has been extended to 06/06//2025, this may need to be extended and will be assess daily.

Brindingabba National Park is closed due to the recent rain and the rising river which may lead to local flooding.
The park will reopen on the 30th of May 2025, this date will be assessed and may change pending on the situation.

Gundabooka Yapa ( Mulgowan) Area will be closed to the public from Monday 28th April 2025 and will reopen Monday 9th June 2025.
The Yapa (Mulgowan) Art site will be under construction and not accessible for this period.
This closure may need to be extended and notifications will be update as the project happens.

Other planned events: Notice of 1080 aerial baiting program
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing aerial baiting program in Nocoleche Nature Reserve, Toorale National Park, Toorale State Conservation, Gundabooka National Park & Gundabooka State Conservation Area from Tuesday 11 March to Tuesday 6 June 2025. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs and foxes.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock. Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location.
Domestic pets are not permitted on NPWS estate. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
