Overview

Boronga Nature Reserve was created in January 1977. It covers an area of 195ha. View the detailed park and fire management documents.

This former timber reserve near Boomi, close to the Queensland border, protects remnant vegetation in a region that has been highly modified by agriculture.

It is home to poplar box-white cypress woodlands, belah open woodland and the endangered ecological community, carbeen open forest.

Access is limited and walking, nature appreciation and study are the only permitted activities. You will need to contact the ranger when planning your visit.

These maps give a basic overview of park attractions and facilities, and may not be detailed enough for some activities. We recommend that you buy a topographic map before you go exploring.
