Fire bans: NSW NPWS Riverina Area - Solid Fuel Fire Ban (SFFB) Commences October 9, 2023
A park fire ban is in place in the parks in the Riverina Area until 6pm 28 March 2024.
During park fire ban periods, all campfire and solid fuel (wood, heat beads, charcoal, briquettes, hexamine) barbecues and stoves are prohibited. Gas and electric barbecues and cookers are permitted as long as:
They're under direct control of an adult
The ground within 2m of the barbecue is cleared of all flammable materials
There's an adequate supply of water (minimum of a bucket)

Cocoparra National Park and Cocopara Nature Reserve are closed from 9am, Monday 6 May to 11pm, Thursday 9 May 2024 for a ground pest control operation. Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, contact the local park office.

Closed areas: Lookouts closed on Jacks Creek walking track
Walking track upgrade work at Jacks Creek has been completed, and the walking track has reopened to visitors. Lookouts remain closed due to dangerous cliff edges. Please stay on the formed walking track and obey all signs.
