Getting there and parking

Hersey trail is in the central precinct of Budderoo National Park.

To get there from Roberston, take Jamberoo Mountain Road and follow the signs to Budderoo track on the right.

To get there from Jamberoo:

  • Take Jamberoo Mountain Road
  • The track is on the left shortly after Jamberoo lookout on the right.

Parking is available near the start of Budderoo track on Jamberoo Mountain Road. There are limited car spaces, so carpooling is recommended.

There are no toilets, drinking water or bins along this trail. You’ll need to take all rubbish away with you.

Walking to the base of Gerringong Falls is prohibited. There’s no track down and you risk falling and severe injury on the steep descent.

  • in Budderoo National Park in the South Coast and Country NSW regions
  • Budderoo National Park is always open but may have to close at times due to poor weather or fire danger. The park gates at Minnamurra Rainforest Centre open at 9am and close at 5pm every day.

  • Park entry fees:

    $12 per vehicle per day only in the Minnamurra Rainforest area. Bus or taxi: $4.40 per adult and $2.20 per child.
